Art Reproductions Workshop – Khar

On 17th December 2016, New Acropolis (Khar Branch) hosted an art products workshop that enabled members and guests to engage with handmade reproductions of symbolic artifacts. A discussion about the value of art as a medium by which to extract and apply philosophical principles was followed by the opportunity to paint some reproductions, which was guided by senior active volunteers. Among the artifact reproductions were Egyptian scarab beetles, Tibetan dorjes, and trishuls from the Indian tradition. As revealed by the study of philosophy in the classical manner, each of these symbols, although used in specific traditions, refer to universal philosophical principles.
