It is said that death and taxes are two inevitable truth’s of life. But do we take the time to understand what death is, and therefore what it really means to live? To investigate the former concept, New Acropolis main center at Colaba hosted a talk titled Journey beyond death on 17 June 2017.
The talk explored how we spend most of our time worrying about death, rather than investigating what it really means. The teachings of the cultures of the past suggest that what we call “death” is in fact the beginning of another journey, a journey that deserves a good attention and preparation. Civilisations like Tibet used the metaphor of changing clothes when the old ones are worn out and old.
The lecturer emphasised that our attitude towards “death” as crucial to how we live our lives today, putting into context our human journey!
