Developing Effective Relationships

Relationships are the very foundation of our social lives. And social intelligence, or the art of how we interact with people, is often said to be one of the most valued skills in our times. However, clearly not all human relationships are successful.
To understand this deeper, New Acropolis (Main Center) organized a talk titled, “The Art of Human Relationships”. The talk proposed that perhaps human relationships fail when clouded by subjectivity and the selfishness of gaining something out of them. By imposing our own expectations on others, we miss out on the need to look inwards in order to consider what we might bring to the relationship, rather than what we might get from it. Perhaps the secret lies in elevating our own consciousness, and bringing the best of our own altruistic selves to every situation.
