On Saturday, 20th October 2018, the Art Products Department at New Acropolis Cultural Organization conducted a workshop on the art of Decoupage. Derived from Middle French, “decouper” means to cut out, or cut from something. Decoupage is therefore, a technique whereby objects are decorated through a process of cutting, pasting, painting and varnishing with decorative paper cut outs.
Participants worked on transforming everyday items, such as serving trays, into beautiful pieces of functional art. The fun activity enabled participants to employ their latent creative skills by practicing a new technique.
