Making planters with children: new life and growth!

Over the past many days, our volunteers saved and collected a lot of plastic bottles destined for the trash. And, also contributed all the material required for the upcycled garden activity.

We visited a school run by NGO Parikrama that provides education to children from under-served backgrounds, as a means for their transformation.

At the school, we had a session of sharing with the children – learning the simple steps to transform the plastic bottles into planters. There was much enthusiasm and keen involvement. Together, we breathed new-life into the plastic bottles. Now, they in-turn nourish plants. They shall also, symbolically, continue to represent the Values of ‘growth’ and ‘rejuvenation’.

All of us, had a lovely volunteering morning today (Saturday 21st Dec 2019).
