SUMMARY:Stoic Wisdom - Marcus Aurelius on Serenity
DESCRIPTION:Philosophy Talk \n6-7 pm: Philosophy Talk by the Speaker\n7-7.30 pm: Interactions over Tea/Coffee with volunteers of New Acropolis Pune \nCharges Rs 200/-\nRegistration link \nAbout the topic – \n“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this\, and you will find strength.” – Marcus Aurelius. \nJoin us to learn insights from the life of Marcus Aurelius—scholar\, military leader\, Roman Emperor\, and Stoic philosopher of 2nd century AD Rome\, who found strength amidst un certainities through daily reflections. In the month of June\, join philosophers of New Acropolis Pune as we take a dose of wisdom from the life of the Stoics\, extracting simple yet profound ideas that can help us meet daily life with inner stillness and serenity. \nTo know more about our introductory Course in Philosophy please visit our website – www.livingphilosophy.in \nTo make the most of this event: \n• Please be there by 5:45pm to meet other Aspiring Philosophers. DESCRIPTION:Philosophy Talk \n6-7 pm: Philosophy Talk by the Speaker\n7-7.30 pm: Interactions over Tea/Coffee with volunteers of New Acropolis Pune \nCharges Rs 200/-\nRegistration link \nAbout the topic – Who am I? – is a question that makes us wonder about the mysteries that exist within us. Let’s draw inspiration from Arjuna\, the hero of the Mahabharata\, who stayed in the center of battlefield with his fear and doubts\, seeking answers about his true identity.
