Ancient Egypt has often caught the fancy of many through its architecture, culture and art. However maybe much of richness of this culture lies beyond what is seen! On 20 January 2018 New Acropolis main center in Colaba hosted a talk titled “Invisble Egypt” to explore some lessons that this civilization holds for us!
The lecture re-looked at some philosophical concepts from Egypt to try to understand their relevance to us today. The grandeur of the Pyramids, the Sphynx, the famous “Papyrus of Ani” depicting the “weighing of the heart” were presented as symbols with a meaning deeper than the simply their shape and apparent implication. The talk concluded saying that perhaps a lesson from Egypt is that – to associate with the essential nature of things is to reach out to the “Invisible”.
