On 27 January 2024, New Acropolis Main Centre at Colaba hosted an evening to explore the language of symbols through a talk titled “Decoding Symbols: The Language of Life”.

The talk proposed that symbols are part of the language of Nature, inviting human beings to discover the meaning of life, beyond the daily material pursuits.

This meaning comprises invisible universal ideas, or archetypes, such as Unity, Generosity, Goodness – and it requires the elevation of human consciousness to be perceived. As author St Exupery poignantly shared: “Only with the heart can one truly see; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” Thus, if truly used as a compass, symbols can be a vital tool for a philosopher, anyone in pursuit of wisdom, looking to become the best version of themselves.

Drawing from the presentation, each participant crafted a symbol at the end of the session, to serve as constant reminder of the need to keep such a pursuit active in one’s life.
