On Saturday, January 11th, 2025, New Acropolis Pune Branch hosted a talk titled “Certainty in an Uncertain World: Immanuel Kant.”
The speaker proposed how Kant’s philosophy suggests pure reason as a foundation of morality, and that by being guided by sentiments of beauty and the sublime, we can enhance our moral character and be certain of the choices we need to make in daily life.
The talk then explored the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, the renowned German philosopher known for his works in Metaphysics, Ethics, and Aesthetics, to better understand human nature. Kant is often regarded as “the Father of Modern Philosophy”.
The talk concluded with speaker encouraging attendees to explore philosophy as a way of life and engage with the teachings of various philosophers to deepen their understanding of moral and ethical principles.
