New Acropolis main centre in Mumbai hosted a thought provoking talk and workshop on 25 May 2024 titled “Transforming Imperfections: Inspiration from Japanese Culture.

Attendees delved into the transformative power of embracing imperfections rather than concealing them. Kintsugi, a Japanese style, known for its unique approach to repairing broken pottery by highlighting the cracks with gold, served as a metaphor for acknowledging and enhancing one’s defects. The speakers highlighted how a true school of philosophy allows an individual to work in the direction of becoming better.

Attendees also participated in a group activity working on broken ceramic tiles, deliberately emphasizing the cracks to symbolize their acceptance and appreciation of their flaws. Through reflection and discussion, participants recognized the potential for growth inherent in confronting and working on their imperfections.

The  talk highlighted the importance of also enjoying this process of working on ourselves while striving to become better human beings.
