On 23rd February 2024, New Acropolis Pune Branch inaugurated their new home at in Koregaon Park.
This move is a clear reflection of the enthusiasm of the members of the branch and the encouraging participation of aspiring philosophers who visit the branch for its various activities. The inauguration was a joyous celebration with the special presence of the National Director of New Acropolis India, Yaron Barzilay and other members from the Mumbai branch as well. The celebration was enlivened by a song performed by some members related to the idea of “Hope”
“Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success” – Henry Ford
What is special is that the premises was prepared by member volunteers of the Pune branch who put in extra effort through the organized work sessions to bring order and beauty to the new space.
From packing up the furniture and belongings from the old space to setting up the new space and making it ready, everything was done inhouse. Deep cleaning of the space, filling in the cracks in the walls, painting, moving furniture, putting up frames and artifacts were few of the activities that shaped the new space all through the hands of the aspiring philosophers.
Volunteering is one of the three pillars of New Acropolis, and the member volunteers expressed it in their true spirits in January and February months with each one responding to the need and pitching in. With open hearts filled with the joy of new beginnings, the Pune branch proved that imagination can be brought to reality when there is fraternity and togetherness.
