On 16th September 2017, New Acropolis main centre at Colaba hosted a talk titled Being Beautiful- Philosophy and Fashion to investigate beauty through concepts of fashion and philosophy
The talk discussed how fashion is ever changing and is temporary in it’s form while the essence of fashion – beauty is eternal. Fashion is bound by time and gives a partial view of the eternal view of beauty that is limitless. The talk explored how beauty is another way to look at life. Through the lecture it was proposed that understanding and exploring beauty is one of the paths to lead a spiritual life.
The talk concluded with the thought that as humans, we recognize beauty because it resonates with us – beauty exists within us. The recognition of beauty outside is merely a reflection of the beauty within us.
