New Acropolis Mumbai hosted a talk titled titled Finding My Inner Balance: Lessons from the Buddha,  on January 28 at the Eclipse Wellbeing  Hub & School, Santacruz.

The speaker explored  how the modern pursuit of balance is often seen as managing work-life demands, taking vacations, or preparing for retirement. But is this true balance? The talk challenged the notion that balance simply means equal parts of everything. Drawing inspiration from the Buddha’s teachings on the Middle Path, the speaker emphasized a deeper, more nuanced approach to balance—one that focuses on finding the right tension for personal growth and pushing boundaries.

A key concept discussed was the idea of building an “inner centre,” which serves as a compass, providing direction and clarity. By cultivating this internal balance, we can develop a sense of harmony, recalibrating ourselves when life feels scattered or overwhelming. The session invited attendees to rethink their approach to balance—not as an external goal, but as an inner practice that leads to a more centred and focused life.
