On 21st and 22nd June 2021, over 100 members of New Acropolis from Mumbai and Pune branches gathered for evenings of inspiration titled Summer Muses. Despite the limitation of the online medium, a team of members enacted extracts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with props and costumes, and connected the chaos of Shakespeare’s plot to the tendency of scattering in the summer. The performance shed light on the opportunity to encounter inner stability and resilience as captured in the character of Hermia.
The members together crafted their own ‘Sun Catchers’, accompanied by classical music, to serve as a reminder of each one’s inner light and strength. The inspiring online gatherings were a celebration of fraternity and solidarity, so essential to remember in our times.
