In a thoughtful exploration of happiness and purpose, New Acropolis Pune branch, led a workshop on 6th July 2024, attended by 28 enthusiastic participants. The session, titled “Designing My Life for Happiness,” delved into profound concepts aimed at guiding individuals towards a fulfilling life.

Led by Branch Manager Shraddha Shetty the workshop emphasized the unique ability of the rational mind that distinguishes humans from other living beings by their pursuit of meaning beyond basic desires and instincts. Drawing from the wisdom of Professor N. Sri Ram, she conveyed that true happiness lies in the fullness of life, lived with purpose and glory that transcends self-interest.

Highlighting iconic figures such as Achilles, Phidippides, and Beethoven, who epitomized dedication to noble causes, she underscored how their pursuit of glory has left a lasting legacy. “Perhaps,” she mused, “true happiness is found in the pursuit of glory.”

The symbolic significance of fire across cultures was also explored, symbolizing the human aspiration towards higher ideals and continuous upward growth. Participants engaged in a reflective exercise centered around mandala sketching identifying and placing their central life-driving aspect at the core of the mandala, surrounded by other facets and needs in various sections. This exercise aimed to illustrate a balanced approach to life, where the central focus is nurtured alongside other important elements.

Summarizing the session, the speaker remarked that lasting happiness isn’t achieved through mere techniques but through a continuous engagement within life’s journey. “It’s about embracing the process,” she concluded, “and finding harmony between our central purpose and the myriad aspects of our lives.”

The workshop left attendees inspired and equipped with practical insights to steer their lives towards a more meaningful and joyful existence, resonating deeply with the timeless pursuit of happiness and purpose.
