On 3rd April 2021, The Culture Circle presented by New Acropolis, hosted a musical evening with Pianist Fali Pavri. Fali is Associate Head of Keyboard and Professor of Piano at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has given masterclasses and performances in many countries around the world.
Fali shared the lessons and life experiences through his journey as a pianist emphasising the importance of music as a gift to humanity. He believes, music teaches us values of patience, humility, focus, mindfulness and can also help us to overcome fear.
Explaining, that in music there are no rights and wrong and no perfection since a musician performs from his heart, he allows himself to be vulnerable, to make mistakes. Drawing parallels to life, Fali explained that perhaps we can take this inspiration in Music so in our life, when one makes a mistake, one should simply carry on, yet always daring to make mistakes.
Fali treated the audience to two pieces of live music, the Catalan serenade by Swiss composer Volkmar Andreae and the first movement of Beethoven’s Sonata op 109 along with some pre-recorded pieces.
