Celebrating Dhrupad, a live concert with Pelva Naik

Dhrupad is one of the oldest surviving classical styles of Hindustani music. Pelva believes Dhrupad is a language that expresses intricate emotions and communicates what is true within us, what is beyond words. She is a disciple of the legendary Dhrupad master Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar. She has performed in reputed festivals and concerts in India and overseas.

To make the most of this event:

  • Please be there by 5:45pm to meet some like-minded people.
  • There will be a musical performance followed by the opportunity to interact and ask questions to Pelva, followed by light snacks.
  • Volunteers from New Acropolis will be available to receive and help you.

This Event is hosted by New Acropolis Culture Circle, a part of New Acropolis, Mumbai, a School of Philosophy, which is run and managed completely by volunteers, who come together in the common pursuit of Philosophy as a way of Life.

New Acropolis Culture Circle explores this Acropolitan view of culture with a philosophical essence, through a through a series of interactive bi-monthly events which are now open to public.
