New Acropolis Main Centre at Colaba hosted a talk on 25th March ’23, titled Discovering The Hero Within : Lessons from Mythology. The speaker illustrated the fact that all myths have a truth that we need to unveil for ourselves.
Drawing inspiration from the Mahabharata, the speaker explained how we all face inner battles or our own Kurukshetra that we need to conquer. There is always a pull between our virtues and vices and if we learn how to deal with them and make the right choice , we too can emerge a Hero .
There are also Heroes like Hercules and Theseus everywhere and like them, we need to learn to fight the battle and discover the Hero within ourselves. Myths have a lot to teach us, if we can only learn to go beyond the story of the myth and extract the deep meaning they hold within them.
