Members of Mumbai & Pune branches gathered together at their respective centres to celebrate Winter Solstice.
The event featured music, performances and a wonderful meal fostering a sense of togetherness as participants marked the turning of the season.
National Director Yaron Barzilay shared his reflection for the evening, mentioning that the Solstice is a reminder that after the darkest times, light will always return. It is an opportunity for us to go deeper and reconnect, not just with nature, but with the innermost aspect of ourselves.
Members showcased performances linked to the spirit of the season reinforcing the Solstice’s timeless message: the balance between light and dark is what sustains life, and together, we can weather any season.
Members of Pune Branch marked the festivities with a performance on Philosopher Giordano Bruno – based on the book The Alchemist by New Acropolis founder Jorge Angel Livraga – highlighting the importance of following the essence of ideas and the courage to stand for what is truth.
Members also presented a poem “Tear and Laughter’ by Khalil Gibran suggesting that one cannot exist without the other, as both are essential to understanding and experiencing the fullness of life. Bobby Mc Ferrin’s ‘Don’t worry, be happy’ performed by members lightened up the mood followed by a sit-down dinner prepared and hosted by members.
