This year, the International Organisation New Acropolis celebrates 62 years since its founding. To commemorate this occasion, the centre at Bangalore invited for books to be received, as gift, by the Library (Takshashila). The response was overwhelming as plentiful of books were received – a welcome treasure-trove.
In gratitude, a book-reading session was conducted, with the theme of giving life to ancient myths, and the book chosen was – Adi Parva a graphic novel, by writer and Illustrator Amruta Patil, draws from the classic Sanskrit epic, the Mahabharat, the Vishnu Purana and the oral tradition of ancient India.
