On August 24th, New Acropolis Pune Branch hosted a talk titled “Wisdom of our Sun – From Ancient Myths to Modern Insights,” presented by Shraddha Shetty, Branch Manager .

The talk explored the Sun’s representation across various mythologies, including Egyptian ‘Amon Ra,’ Indian ‘Surya,’ Roman ‘Sol Invictus,’ Greek ‘Apollo,’ and the Aztec ‘Fifth Sun.’ The presentation offered a deep dive into the Sun’s structure and formation, complemented by a series of vivid pictorial illustrations. The  talk  shed light on the meaning behind the Greek God Apollo  with a discussion on the nine muses that embody the Sun’s inspirational power. The speaker shared practical insights drawn from the Sun, emphasizing the importance of continual movement and maintaining an inspiring environment. She concluded with a powerful quote from Hafez and William Ernest Henley’s poem “Invictus,” symbolizing the Sun’s role as a beacon of victory and generosity.
