On 19th December 2023, members of New Acropolis Main centre gathered to celebrate winter solstice. Many cultures around the world celebrate this natural rhythm of the earth through various customs and traditions.
The celebrations began with a message from the National Director on how this event revolves around themes of reflection, renewal, hope, and the cyclical nature of life. It prompts us to reflect on the dualities inherent in our lives—the moments of joy amid challenges, hope emerging from despair, and the resilience found in times of adversity. Members put on various performances aligned to these themes, songs, poetry recitation and even making sure the potluck dinner was curated in line with traditional seasonal delicacies cooked and served by the fraternity.
