New Acropolis is a proud member of the Mumbai Festival 2024.
In this special event we explore the theme of Unity, how rhythm can serve to unite human beings, because it speaks to something universal in us. Classical dancer Aditi Bhagwat will perform Kathak, and treat us to Lavani. She will share her journey with artists as diverse as jazz pianists, African drummers, and Flamenco dancers. Through interactive sessions, she will share how rhythm builds discipline and unites us through its sense of joy and beauty. She will show us how to work with rhythm in dance, and apply this in our Life.
Aditi is the daughter of classical singer Ragini Bhagwat and started to learn Indian classical dancing at the age of 4 years. She began rigorous training in the Jaipur style of Kathak dance under Dr. Roshan Kumari, who received a Padma Shri. She has been invited to perform in India and around the world.
