After successfully gathering pledges from New Acropolis member-volunteers in Mumbai and Pune, almost 200 saplings were planted this monsoon, to enrich the ongoing forestation initiative at Manav Bustan (Rural centre of New Acropolis located near Mangaon, Raigad District). Mature saplings of local varieties of fruit trees were selected, in addition to bamboo and some boulevard trees.

Their support in July 2023 enabled us to initiate the plantation work at Manav Bustan, with 500 saplings gifted by Devrai Foundation (Pune), comprising both a food forest and a grove of indigenous flora.
