On 2nd February 2019, New Acropolis (Main Centre) hosted an interactive session with author Amish Tripathi for the circle of Friends of New Acropolis, Members and Students.
Through the Q&A, Amish explained the reason behind his use of mythology as a framework for his books. To him, myths and symbols are a way to communicate something complex which invites readers to search for meaning, while also reviving our heritage; one that laid great emphasis on aligning with the timeless principles of life.
Amish insisted on the need to foster intuition in present-day society, to grasp these principles, through the arts, and practices such as yoga, explaining that the ancient Indian method of education carefully developed both hemispheres of the brain, to facilitate a more holistic grasp of life.
