Course Particulars

  • Start the registration process by booking a registration meeting. This is an orientation meeting at the end of which your course enrollment is confirmed.

  • Course fee: Rs. 8500

    Payment schedule:

    Booking of Registration meeting: Rs. 1500
    First instalment (payable at end of registration meeting): Rs. 1500
    Second instalment (payable after 6 weeks from the beginning of the course) – Rs. 2750
    Third instalment (payable after 12 weeks from the beginning of the course) – Rs. 2750

    *You can opt to pay in full at the end of the registration meeting and get a discount of Rs. 1000.

Frequently Asked Questions

No prior knowledge of philosophy is required. This course is for anyone interested in developing a philosophical approach to daily living. The emphasis is on the practicality of philosophy and not the focus on the accumulation of knowledge.

Classes occur once a week from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, across 19 weeks, at our branches in Indiranagar and Jayanagar. The classes happen on-premises to enable a personal and interactive experience. The course also includes individual meetings with the course instructors, a full-day volunteering seminar and a mid-term and final assessment.

The instructors are first and foremost students of philosophy, and have studied with New Acropolis for several years. Instructors undergo a one-year Instructor training program, followed by taking on a role as assistant-teacher. All instructors at New Acropolis conduct classes on a voluntary basis.
There are no discounts offered on the course fee. New Acropolis is a completely volunteer-run organisation – all classes and activities, including the maintenance and operation of our centres and branches, are funded from the income of our courses. The course fee is a basic amount to cover the logistics of the course and operations of the centre.
The Mārga course is the foundational introductory course offered by New Acropolis. Upon successful completion of this course, aspirants may choose to continue with the advanced studies program as members of New Acropolis. We encourage consistency in the classes. At the same time, for any objective reason you have to miss a class, this can be worked out with the community leader. The most important is communication with the organizing team in case there are any challenges around attendance. In all, it is necessary to have 75% attendance to successfully complete the course and be eligible for the advanced studies.
Yes, course booklets and suggestions for additional reading are provided as part of the course. These support the reflection, recap and further research of interested course participants.
