Socrates, renowned as one of the greatest philosophers of our times, continues to inspire us with his dedication to search of truth and his remarkable courage.
On Friday 13th October 2023, New Acropolis Pune Branch hosted a talk titled “Dare to be Authentic – Lessons from Socrates”. The speaker used anecdotes from his life and read some excerpts from the Socratic dialogues. She pointed out the importance of humility, investigation, and self-mastery amongst other values in order to discover and express our authentic self. With over 30 participants on a Friday evening, the talk engaged fellow participants to extract practical lessons from life of Socrates relevant to our times today.
