On Saturday, 11th May 2019, New Acropolis (Khar Branch) hosted a talk titled “Re-discovering Ancient Temples.” Various features of an ancient Egyptian temple were highlighted as examples of technical engineering genius, precise proportions and ratios of the floor plan, as well as the symbolic and mythological value of the sculptures and reliefs. The speaker investigated the manner in which a temple might have served as an important bridge for the individual on a spiritual quest.
