New Acropolis Main centre in Mumbai hosted a talk titled “Wisdom of our Sun: From Ancient Myths to Modern Insights,” on 11 May 2024.
Attendees were taken on a journey through different solar myths from various traditions, emphasizing the Sun’s universal representation as a source of light and life. The mythologies explored how humanity has revered the Sun across ages and cultures for the deeper meaning it has embodied, detailing the virtues and principles such as rhythm, precision, and harmony.
A video presentation showcased the intricate and harmonious movements of the planets around the Sun, visually reinforcing these concepts.
” The speaker shared how we can perhaps learn a profound lesson from the Sun’s central position in the solar system on always keeping what is essential and enduring at the centre.”
The talk posed thought-provoking questions such as, “How do I know if it is right? How do we know what is essential and what is not?”. Adding a musical touch to the event, a volunteer member of New Acropolis performed “Here Comes the Sun” for the audience.
The talk proposed how living a philosophical life can help bring clarity to ourselves, urging attendees to reflect on their personal centers and the timeless principles that the Sun represents.
