18 volunteers from New Acropolis Pune Branch conducted a three hour volunteering activity with over 45 children at the Balgram SOS Children’s Village in Yerwada on 28 March 2026. The activities were planned around the theme “Joy of Responsibility” and the session focused on helping children understand how they can develop responsibility towards self, others, and the environment through interactive activities.
Children learned practical hygiene habits for a healthy lifestyle, participated in storytelling sessions promoting values like kindness, patience, and courage, and took part in team-building exercises designed to encourage empathy and cooperation.
As part of encouraging environmental awareness, each child also planted a sapling, symbolizing long-term care and responsibility towards our planet and nature. The event concluded on a joyful note, with both children and volunteers reflecting on meaningful learnings, highlighting the importance of creativity, empathy, and the enriching experience of engaging with young minds.
