Over 80 members of New Acropolis main centre celebrated the Summer Solstice with cultural celebrations at Mukesh Mills in Colaba on 20 June.

Members put together a diverse array of performances and activities  to celebrate the evening.  A captivating rendition of a short performance from Miguel de Cervantes’ Don Quixote, shed light on the spirit of adventure that a philosopher carries in his heart despite all odds.  Members also sang along to the evergreen version of “Im on top of the world” by the Carpenters. The Eco Volunteering department also helped members learn about and put together terrariums to take home.  The evening ended with a meal prepared and served by members.

The celebration was an opportunity to tune to the universal themes of action, rejuvenation  reflecting the vibrant energy of the season that the Summer Solstice represents.
