On Friday, 24th June 2022, The New Acropolis Culture Circle organised a unique outdoor event- “Insights into Sculpting” – a visit to the art studio of renowned sculptor, Arzan Khambatta. Arzan has been practising art and sculpting the last 40 years using not just fresh metal sheets, but also creatively reusing and reimagining metal scraps that he have intrigued him since childhood.
Arzan demonstrated and explained how he works with this art from with different medium, tools and techniques. The result of this creativity and experimenting gave the participants an insight into his world of sculpting. Arzan’s ability to find beauty in scrap, his perseverance, dedication and his ability to take inspiration from what’s around him, was uplifting. As summed in his own quote, ’The impossible just takes a little longer’.
