A closer look shows us that there appear to be similarities in monuments across cultures. Is there a unifying principle expressed in architecture around the world, that we can investigate? This was the theme explored in the talk ‘Principles of Life through Sacred Architecture’, held by New Acropolis Pune branch on Sunday 30th October, 2022.
Using examples of sacred architecture across various cultures and civilisations, the speaker explored the mathematical basis of the structures, their orientation from outer to inner aspects and the significance of their verticality as an aspiration for the human being.
