New Acropolis Pune Branch hosted an exploration into the life and legacy of Leonardo Da Vinci on 13 April 2024. The event, titled “Movement towards Humanism – Lessons from Leonardo Da Vinci”, drew inquisitive minds eager to delve into the genius of the Renaissance polymath exploring his journey in the relentless pursuit of Truth and Beauty to mark his 572nd Birth anniversary.

Shraddha Shetty, Branch Manager of New Acropolis Pune,  guided 45 participants through a visual journey of Da Vinci’s masterpieces and philosophy showcasing iconic works such as ‘John the Baptist,’ ‘Ginerva Benci,’ ‘The Vitruvian Man,’ and the enigmatic ‘Mona Lisa,’ interweaving them with insightful quotes from Da Vinci’s writings.

“She also shed light on the historical context of the Middle Ages and the transformative period of the Renaissance, emphasizing Da Vinci’s pivotal role in shaping cultural and intellectual landscapes. She underscored the maestro’s boundless imagination as the driving force behind his artistic brilliance, urging attendees to tap into their innate human capacity for creativity and expression.” 

Drawing inspiration from the timeless symbolism of the Vitruvian Man, she invited reflection on the profound essence of humanity as a bridge between abstract ideas and tangible expression. As the evening unfolded, participants were left inspired to embrace Da Vinci’s enduring quest for Truth, Beauty, and the essence of what it means to be truly human.
