On 14 September 2024, New Acropolis Pune branch hosted a book reading evening, on the theme of  “Bringing Newness into Routine.” The session highlighted the insights of the esteemed theosophist N. Sri Ram, a humble philosopher whose profound writings invite readers to explore the deeper aspects of human existence. The evening featured selected excerpts from his book Life’s Deeper Aspects, specifically the chapter titled “Newness in Oneself “. The speaker emphasised the detrimental effects of habitual routines, which can render us mechanical both physically and psychologically. She suggested that “freshness” can be brought into everything we do by bringing in more consciousness in our actions thus invigorating our experience.

Breaking automaticity and embracing newness fully were two key principles highlighted for cultivating  an approach of newness in our actions.

Attendees also participated in an interactive discussion and a Q&A segment.
