On Sunday, 20th April, 2025, New Acropolis Pune Branch had an event called “Building Harmony through Diversity” in Celebration of International Mother Earth Day 2025. The event was hosted in collaboration with ‘Rupa Rahul Bajaj Centre for Environment & Art (RRBCEA)’ and ‘The Grasslands Trust’ at the Empress Botanical Garden Pune.

The day’s activities began with an orientation by Shraddha Shetty, Branch Manager of New Acropolis Pune, sharing the essence and significance of International Mother Earth Day celebrated by New Acropolis Internationally in over 50 countries. The participants then proceeded to a clean-up activity in the Botanical garden organized in teams and led by Volunteers from New Acropolis Pune Branch.

After some refreshments Vishwatej Pawar who is co-founder of ‘The Grasslands Trust’ shared insights on Presentation on ‘Biodiversity & Symbiosis in Nature. Vishwatej shared examples of symbiosis, natural biodiversity and coexistence which we can see in nature. He highlighted how the features of the animals/birds like their wings/beaks/ claws etc., adapt to the needs of the habitat. The Trust focuses on designing and implementing biodiversity conservation programs using the latest technology. He shared about his organization’s work in three fronts – Habitat Restoration Projects, Wolf Conservation & Grassland Habitat Protection, Tech-Driven conservation.

This presentation was followed by a talk by Shraddha Shetty, branch manager of New Acropolis Pune Branch on on ‘Laws of Nature & Our Role’. She emphasized nature as inherent quality of all beings and encouraged each one to know ourselves better to recognize our inherent inner qualities of beauty and altruism – in order to harmoniously coexist. She highlighted the importance of constant philosophical education to ourselves and nature better and make wiser choices. She highlighted the inspiration can we can take from Mother Earth and the biodiverse forms that she supports.
