The Plateful of Love initiative launched by New Acropolis during the second wave of the pandemic, was aimed at lending a helping hand to those affected by Covid and not able to have simple home cooked food.
In a month since its launch, the team of 67 volunteers, donors and well wishers managed to despatch over 700 nutritious, home cooked vegetarian meals, touching the lives of over 110 recipients. Through this effort, volunteers demonstrated that each one of us can play our part and put humanity first, even during a lockdown and be there for those in need.
Currently the initiative has been paused as Mumbai lockdown regulations are relaxed.
