On 25th April 2021, volunteers of New Acropolis India (Main Centre) hosted an online Home Ecology Seminar to mark the occasion of Earth Day 2021. The event was attended by 70 participants.
The talk and presentation shed light on key ecological challenges faced across the world, and offered practical steps each of us can take to bring about a small but essential change, starting in our own homes. Themes included garbage management and segregation at an individual and community level, a practical presentation on home composting, as well as tips for economical water consumption. The speakers suggested that the first and most important step towards addressing our current challenges begins with ourselves. Perhaps only when we are able to see ourselves as an integral part of nature and recognise our role and responsibility within Earth’s ecosystem, that we will be able to bring more sustainable solutions to our ecological challenges of today.
