On 29th October 2020, Volunteers of New Acropolis Main Centre conducted an online activity with caregivers of Aaji Care, a medical care centre for the elderly, with the goal of celebrating the indomitable spirit of volunteering. Attended by 65 participants, the event facilitated reflections and heart to heart conversations between the caregivers and volunteers of New Acropolis.The volunteers shared their gratitude with the caregivers for demonstrating a wonderful example of service in the last 7 months by going out of the way and living with the elderly 24/7, to ensure their safety and care during the challenging time of the COVID pandemic. Caregivers shared their experiences, learnings and challenges and inspired the volunteers with their dedication, hard-work and positive outlook despite the personal difficulties they faced. The interaction highlighted the need and value of he true spirit of volunteering in our times.
