New Acropolis (Main Centre) organized a talk on 1st June 2019 titled “Lessons from Plato’s Allegory of the Cave”. The talk investigated the role of what Plato speaks of as the Philosopher-Politician, the Idealist who is motivated by the pursuit of wisdom, daring to emerge from the cave of ignorance into the sunlight of Truth, only to return into the Cave, with the need to share that wisdom with others
