”The unexamined life is not worth living” – Socrates
On Saturday 11th February 2023, New Acropolis Pune Branch hosted an interactive talk titled “Dare to be Authentic: Lessons from Socrates”. The speaker used anecdotes from his life and trial and read some excerpts from the Socratic dialogues. She pointed out the importance of humility, investigation, and self mastery amongst other values in order to discover and express our authentic self. The talk gave a glimpse into Philosophy as a way of life and the speaker invited those interested to explore the upcoming Free Introduction towards the Living Philosophy course.
