On Saturday, 9th May 2026, New Acropolis Pune Branch hosted a talk titled “Art of Concentration”. Sharing insights into the Tibetan Culture, the speaker explained how ancient Tibet was a deeply spiritual and mysterious civilization, centering the talk around a symbolic Tibetan painting created by a Lama in the 1600s to teach disciples about the art of concentration.
The speaker explained the rich symbolism within the painting, showcasing how an individual can strive from ignorance and distraction to taming the mind.
Excerpts from the book Concentration and Inner Awakening by Fernand Schwarz were read during the session to further illuminate the symbolism and practical wisdom contained in the painting.
The speaker connected these teachings with the challenges of daily life and explained how concentration is to work consciously with the mind by keeping the highest aspect within us at the center of everything we do. The audience was encouraged to see concentration as an ongoing effort to return to this center and to live philosophy through action in everyday life.
This talk was after a talk on this theme at the Mumbai Branch.
