New Acropolis, together with fellow philosopher Mumbaikars, celebrated UNESCO World Philosophy Day on November 17th, 2011, at Oxford Bookstore (Churchgate). This first ever collaboration between New Acropolis and Oxford Bookstores resulted in an eclectic audience from diverse walks of life (yoga instructor, graphic design, students, journalists, etc.), all driven by a common search for Wisdom in their Lives. The designated theme of the evening shed light on “Discover[ing]the Hero Within” each of us, as a necessary means by which to discover the Path of Dharma. The talk left audience members intrigued and excited, and prompted a wonderful discussion on how to deal with flaws of the personality, so as to rise up and truly become a Hero.
