On 10 October 2020 New Acropolis Main Centre hosted an online talk for members of Rotary Club Bombay Hills South titled “The Hero’s Journey: What Mythology Can Teach Us”. Mythology can be found at the heart of ancient civilisations across the world, be it the mighty Hercules from the Greek tradition, Gilgamesh from Mesopotamia or the courageous Arjuna from the Indian tradition. The talk elaborated on this tradition of heroes and what we can we learn from the journey of these mythical figures as they conquer challenges and express the heroic spirit. The main lesson being that this is something we should aspire to bring into our lives even today!
