On Saturday 31 August 2024, The New Acropolis Culture Circle organised its first Poetry Open Mic at its centre in Colaba. The event titled New Acropolis Poetry Open Mic-Where Poetry Meets Philosophy saw budding poets and poetry lovers from diverse backgrounds who took the opportunity to express their sentiments and ideas through their words.
From a serving Naval officer who wrote about longing for his home, his mother and on martrydom , a Kathak dancer’s recitation with Mudras and steps, to a singer’s musical rendition of her poetry about life, the event left the audience with a vivid array of inspirations and reflections.
