On Saturday, 28th September 2019, New Acropolis (Main Centre) conducted a public event titled Lighting the Inner Spark – Symbolism of Fire. The talk drew attention to the verticality and purifying quality of fire, used by various traditions to symbolize the power of Will and the aspiration to elevate consciousness.
Some traditions speak of fire as the gift of the mental spark, given to humankind. The speaker proposed that we might justly nurture and utilize this mental spark, by making conscious ethical choices – to do, what we understand is right.
