On 13 March 2016, New Acropolis (Main Centre) at Colaba conducted an ‘Upcycling Workshop’ where children and adults participated in a fun hands on activity organised by the Active Ecology Department of the centre.
Inspired by the need for a balance in our consumeristic lifestyles, participants made self-watering planters from used plastic bottles and paint buckets that would have been thrown to waste.
This activity helped participants work with the tools of Creativity and Imagination, showcasing how a change in our attitude and action related to our consumption patterns can help create a better and greener environment around us.
