Members, friends and families of New Acropolis Colaba (Main Centre) in partnership with local organisation My Dream Colaba spent a good part of their weekends on 2nd & 3rd April 2016 beautifying a neglected wall in the Cuffe Parade area.

Over 25 volunteers spent time plastering and repairing the worn down wall before painting it with the message of “Harmony” in English and Marathi. Harmony denotes the importance of a well-balanced, peaceful, symbiotic relationship as an important ingredient for the survival and well-being of our society.

This was the second such beautification drive undertaken by New Acropolis after the success of painting a wall with the message of “Hope”, also in Colaba. The underlying aim of such activities, is to bring about awareness of being responsible citizens, by caring for the communities we live in. Another objective in executing this venture was promoting the need to bring the virtue of Harmony into our lives by empowering to take charge and be the change that we want to see in the world. Bringing beauty to urban India is a need of our times, where today we seem to ignore the importance of aesthetic around us.
