In a world driven by timelines, goalposts and distractions, a timeless question accompanying the human being has been : Who am I?

To explore this topic further, New Acropolis Bandra Branch hosted a talk titled “Who AM I ? Mystery of the human being “ on 9 May 2026 by Akanksha Sanghi the Branch Manager.

Drawing inspiration from the ancient Greek axiom “Know Thyself,” once inscribed on the Temple of Apollo,  the speaker explained how knowing oneself was a fundamental part of the beginninng of a philosophic quest.

Knowing ourself can help us look beyond the surface of everyday life and reconnect with our own eternal human nature.

Understanding oneself can help us understand the very nature of life and the universe. It is an invitation to explore how we human beings are more than our thoughts, emotions, opinions and the roles we perform daily.

The speaker explained how self-discovery is not merely philosophical but deeply practical, by turning inward and examining one’s awareness, values and consciousness, individuals may bring about greater clarity, meaning and emotional balance in their lives.

Getting to know ourselves is an inner adventure that can help us understand our true purpose and help us live with more direction, authenticity and joy.

The event formed part of New Acropolis’ ongoing efforts to bring classical philosophical ideas into dialogue with contemporary challenges.
